I've Been Writing for as Long as I Can Remember

I started putting together books when I was about 4 years old, before I could even write words. I would draw the pictures and then tape the pages together to make a picture book. I would memorize the words to the story and sit with a person and recite the story aloud to them.

I've wanted to be a children's book author ever since I discovered what that was, and that is still my dream!

Early Experience Selling

I started selling my books at fairs when I was 10 years old, in 2020. My parents would help print my books on our printer and we learned how to bind the books. I love selling at fairs! But once my books started getting longer, we didn't try to do that at home. I still sell at fairs, but mostly my artwork and I still sell some of my older books that I wrote from 2020-2022.

Summer Goals

This summer, I really want to finally print my longer chapter books from the last few years! I would be really excited to have more recent books to be able to sell.

So, this summer, I am working on editing, redoing illustrations, reading feedback from beta readers, making revisions to my books, cover art, and sharing on social media. Basically, getting ready to publish my books.

Other Things About Me

Aside from working on publishing, I am also writing a new book, Lycanthrope. I also enjoy art other than illustration-related such as clay, needle felting, stop motion animation, and music composition. This is the 3rd year I have been in 4h, and I am working on 5 projects for the county fair this summer: Clay, 3d Mixed Media, 2d Paper, Creative Writing, and Costume Design. I have a pool pass and a driver's license, and go regularly to the local pool with my sister. I also love roller skating, and we have been hitting the local roller skating rink this summer. We have many animals on our family farm, but I especially love my cat Sphinx, who loves to snuggle in bed with me.
